OUR BROKERAGE was established in 1988 and well over 20 years on we have achieved a reputation for professionalism second to none.
There are many good reasons why you should seriously consider instructing us to sell your boat.
We have a proven record for high and quick turnover of boat sales founded on our prominent location, an excellent and efficient purchasing procedure for our buyers backed up by our comprehensive boatyard facilities and services, and attentive, caring staff.
Braunston with its historic canal workshops and marina is a tourist destination in its own right and our sales very much benefit from this. We are so well known that buyers come to us not only from all over the UK but also from Europe, America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Some of our satisfied clients are owners who either had their boats for sale at other brokers but which failed to move with little interest shown, or had been through unsuccessful, time-consuming and frustrating attempts to sell privately.
Please note we only accept steel narrowboats for brokerage and only on a sole agency basis. We do not buy boats for cash as we believe this creates a serious conflict of interest. Neither do we sell boats from their home moorings; your boat will need to be brought here (if necessary we can arrange this for a reasonable charge).
Our brokerage fee is a competitive 6% of sale price achieved plus VAT (subject to a minimum charge of £900 plus VAT), payable upon sale completion. For this our sales service includes:-
